Winter weather and windy conditions can leave streets not looking their best. Leaves, branches and blowing trash often end up on our roadways and after the winter, there is often a residue of salt and sand that has been left behind.
To combat this, City streets are swept free of dirt and debris between spring and early fall each year. The street sweeper makes at least five passes through the 185 miles of City streets during this period, which amounts to a street cleaning about every 7 weeks.
When sweeping is scheduled for your neighborhood, please refrain from parking on the streets between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. View the street sweeping schedule at the link to the right. Also, please note that the sweeping schedule may change due to weather conditions or equipment repair. Any necessary schedule changes will be posted on this page.
